Marquees can only be placed on lawn/soft standing areas because they are held down by 60cm long stakes 60cms. A lawned area is best, as cultivated ground may be too soft to hold the marquee securely.
We can help you to decide the size of your marquee, this will usually depend on:
- How many guests you wish to accommodate
- Whether the guests will be seated or standing
- If seated, whether this will be on round or long tables
However, in many cases, the size you choose will be dictated by the size of your garden. Please feel free to call us to discuss.
Yes of course we can. If you are uncertain, this is a very sensible thing to do in order to reassure yourself. We do however make a charge of £20 for this service which is payable on the day of the site visit.
Yes they do, the cost of these is included in the hire price. Half of these will be white and half will be see-through. We will usually erect the marquee with the walls fitted and show you how to remove them should you wish to do so. They only take a few minutes to attach or detach if the weather changes.
No, like traditional marquees our marquees are very elegant and contemporary and do not need linings to hide ugly rails and fixings. They look fantastic just as they are.
However, we can provide fabric pole covers to make them look even better if you wish and provide decorations to really make your party special.

Yes, of course! For us this is the fun part after the physical work of erecting the marquee. For example, we put fabric pole covers on the poles to soften the look. We can also supply bunting in various colours which instantly gives a party atmosphere and finish the decoration off with fairy lights and accessories. Yes, of course you can! We can give you lots of ideas and advice if you want us to but we would ask you to be very considerate and careful about what you use in the way of decoration. No pins, drawing pins or staples and please be aware that some paper decorations (especially crepe paper) and fabrics are not colour fast and can stain the marquee.
Perhaps, on second thoughts, you may wish to leave the decoration to us…
I'm afraid the answer is a big fat NO. The risk of damage to the marquee from smoke, flame and fumes is great and under our terms and conditions you could find yourself responsible for the cost of replacement of the marquee.
We usually erect the marquee the day before your event and dismantle it the day following your event but sometimes this isn't possible when we are having a very busy time. We will discuss this with you and sort out convenient times for us all closer to the date.
The period of hire is based on your event not lasting longer than 24 hours. Longer periods can be negotiated on an individual basis.
To confirm the booking we require a 20% non-refundable deposit paid by bank transfer. The remaining balance is due 7 days prior to the event.
Yes, we usually work within Suffolk, Essex & Cambridgeshire. Traveling further may incur additional costs which will be sent as part of your initial quotation
